Student Council Update

The student council reported back to the rest of the school on their progress so far at our Assembly.

A book club has been established. The first meeting will be on the 21st of October and the first book read will be 'George's Marvellous Medicine' by Roald Dahl. There will be a quiz and a chat about the themes and characters in the book.

Another initiative by the student council was a PE class for 5th and 6th classes. Eimear's brother Myles Treanor is going to teach us movements similar to those used in gymnastics such a squats and crawls.

A suggestion box will be put in the hall and pupils can put their ideas for the student council into it at break times. It must be realistic and be of benefit to the pupils or the school.

The student council has been a great success so far and there are lots more fun, exciting and interesting ideas to come!
