First Class completed projects about the types of stone evident in Tydavnet Village. Here you can see pictures from their walking tour to find the different varieties and the wonderful projects they completed afterwards. Great work folks!

Well done to Niamh, Áine and Aimee who received the Sacrament of Penance this week. They will receive First Holy Communion in May. Thank you to Mrs Meehan for all her hard work and preparation.
Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge tar éis críochnú. D’imir muid cluichí, chan muid amhráin agus bhí an chraic againn. Bhí tráth na gcéist agus ceilí ar siúl sa scoil agus bhain na paistí an taitneamh as. Tá muid an bhródúil as ár gcultúr agus ár dteanga. First class attended a blitz in Coláiste Oriall recently. They won all their matches! They scored hat tricks and wonder goals. Well done to the children and their wonderful coach Mrs Slowey :)
Pauline Tilson from Monaghan County Museum kindly visited us to tell us about World War 1. She showed us a very interesting powerpoint and she brought items from the time for us to look at. It was a great workshop. Thanks Pauline! Congratulations to the children from Sixth Class in St. Dympna's NS, Tydavnet, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation yesterday. Tarah, Emma Mc, Emma B, Aoife, Caoimhe, Ben and Tiernan were excellent. They have worked very hard this year to prepare both spiritually and physically for the Sacrament. They produced some beautiful art to decorate the church and Bishop Mc Daid complimented them on how well they answered his questions. Well done, you made us so proud! |
