St Dympna's N.S. is a co-educational school under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher. We serve the village of Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan and surrounding areas. We currently have an enrolment of 92 pupils.
To commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Rising we held a ceremony in the school. The children sang songs, played music and presented a dramatic piece as Gaeilge about those involved in the Rising. Members of the school community had an opportunity to view art work and projects completed by the children. We then moved outside where proclamations old and new were read out and Mrs Slowey raised our flag. It is a day we will remember for many years to come. Many thanks to all those who attended.
