St Dympna's N.S. is a co-educational school under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Clogher. We serve the village of Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan and surrounding areas. We currently have an enrolment of 92 pupils.
This year's debating team consists of Dylan, Daniel, Gary, Donna, Katie and Grace. They had their first debate against Corracrin NS. Dylan, Donna and Katie represented us. The motion was 'School uniforms are a good idea'. We were against the motion. We won! Next we will host Glaslough NS to debate the motion 'Children should have TVs in their bedrooms'.
